    Database Issue Checker Utility
This free utility (160 KB zipped) reports on potential issues with the structure of Access databases. It makes no changes to the databases you examine. The utility is intended for developers to check their application during design, and consultants who examine others' databases. Some of the issues it identifies may be irrelevant - even intended - in your application. For example, null foreign keys can be a very useful design technique, and spaces in a field name will not cause problems beyond slowing development. The utility merely reports the facts, and you decide what is relevant. You can therefore configure it to skip particular words or characters, and ignore issues.

Front End Updater Utility by Peter Hibbs
This VB6 program is used to automatically update front-end database files on PCs on a network with the latest version. As the database developer you would save the latest front-end version into a folder on the Server PC and when the users next run the database application, the program will check the current version date and if the Server version is newer it will copy it to the user's PC and then run the database. The set up is simple, just create a folder on the Server to which all users have access and save the latest front-end file in it. Copy the FE Updater.exe file to the same folder as the front-end file on each PC and create a short cut to it from the desktop. The first time you run the FE Updater program you will need to locate the front-end file on the Server to run the database. After that the updates are done automatically. The attached Word document explains the procedure in detail.
