Access Datasbase Issues and Corruption

Be sure to make a Backup before attempting any type of recover. This includes running compact and repair.

If you do suspect you have any database issues the first thing you should do is exit the database and make a backup.

    Preventing corruption
    Since the Access database is a single mdb file, you can lose everything if it becomes corrupt. This is a rare occurrence if the database is running on reliable local area network (or single computer) and database objects are not being modified.
